The much anticipated 2024 launch date for Uttarakhand’s breathtaking Valley of Flowers trek has been announced. Beginning on June 1 of this year, anyone eager to explore this valley can embark on one of the most beautiful treks in India to reach the well-known Valley of Flowers National Park, which is tucked away inside Uttarakhand’s Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.

Now that trekkers will be able to enter Uttarakhand’s Valley of Flowers on June 1, 2024, fans may start organizing their three-day, 17-kilometer journey through this flower wonderland. The Valley of Flowers hike is accessible from Govindghat or Pulna village, and during October and November during the monsoon season, visitors may see the breathtaking scenery of more than 300 native Himalayan flower varieties. Snowmelt has brought out early blossoms of potentilla, wild rose, and primrose, signaling the advent of spring.

Beyond these flora marvels, visitors may also behold a wide variety of flowers, surpassing 300 kinds in total, such as anemones, geraniums, blue poppies, and bluebells. Travelers may come across endangered animal species including the Himalayan monal, black bear, red fox, lime butterfly, grey langur, flying squirrel, and Himalayan weasel in addition to the stunning flower arrangement set against the background of spectacular peaks.

The Valley of Flowers National Park, together with Nanda Devi National Park, is one of the two central regions of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.
