This holiday season, Central Hall Westminster is set to host a series of five enchanting musical concerts designed to spread festive joy among attendees.
The iconic Great Hall of the venue, renowned for its magnificent self-supporting domed ceiling, will host the Candlelight concerts in December. These events will feature live musical performances illuminated by the soft flicker of candlelight.
On the evening of Saturday, December 7, audiences can enjoy performances by the London Sessions Quartet, which will include a Tribute to Adele at 6:30 PM followed by Hans Zimmer’s Best Works at 9 PM. The City String Ensemble will then present two Tribute to Coldplay concerts on Friday, December 20, at both 6:30 PM and 9 PM.
The festive celebration will culminate on Saturday, December 21, with the Fulltone Orchestra and guests delivering a Christmas Concert. This concert will feature a 50-piece orchestra and the Cantiamo Singers, along with guest performances by tenor Emmet Cahill from Celtic Thunder and Classical Brit nominee Camilla Kerslake. The repertoire includes beloved holiday songs from The Polar Express and Phantom of the Opera, as well as classics like Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
Esteemed actor and Mind president Stephen Fry will enhance the evening with his narration, adding a layer of warmth and enchantment. This special performance will also support the UK’s foremost mental health charity, aiding those impacted by mental health issues.
Thanks to recent upgrades, including a state-of-the-art PA system and audio solution by White Light, the venue ensures an acoustically superb experience for all concert-goers. Located centrally in London, the venue is easily accessible and tickets for these highly anticipated concerts are expected to sell out fast.
