Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism has approved a 2030 tourism strategy aiming to attract 40 million tourists, boost UAE’s GDP, create 178,000 jobs, and enhance the vacation home market.

With the launch of this new route, Akasa Air is making a calculated effort to increase its global footprint and improve connections between Qatar and India. In keeping with the excitement and diversity of the launch, the event also saw an all-women operating crew consisting of five cabin crew members and two pilots. For tourists wishing to see Doha, Akasa Holidays, a division of Akasa Air, also provides configurable and reasonably priced vacation packages.

With the introduction of nonstop flights between Mumbai and Doha, Akasa Air—a company well-known for its explosive expansion in the Indian aviation industry—has formally started doing business internationally. An important turning point for Akasa Air was the launch of the Mumbai-Doha route, which offers four nonstop flights a week to promote tourism and business between the two nations. Key Akasa Air executives, including Belson Coutinho (co-founder and chief marketing and experience officer), Neelu Khatri (co-founder and SVP International), Ankur Goel (chief financial officer), and Bhavin Joshi (co-founder and senior vice president – strategy), attended the airline’s inaugural flight ceremony at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

A unique boarding permit was given to the first passenger, and a ceremonial lamp was lighted to commemorate the flight’s beginning. In keeping with the excitement and diversity of the launch, the event also saw an all-women operating crew consisting of five cabin crew members and two pilots.
