Hamad International Airport in Doha has been ranked the world’s greatest airport. The 2024 World Airport Awards revealed that Changi Airport ranked second, has the best immigration services globally. The Crowne Plaza won the best airport hotel award.
The greatest airport in the world, according to a recent study by the London-based research organization Skytrax, is Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Changi Airport, which had occupied the esteemed top position, is now ranked second.
Germany hosted the 2024 World Airport Awards on April 17. It was placed in Frankfurt’s Passenger Terminal Expo. Incheon International Airport in South Korea secured the third position.
But Changi Airport continued to rule Asia and garnered further praise for having the best immigration services in the world. Notably, the Crowne Plaza won its eighth award in this category, taking home the title of best airport hotel.

These honors were the result of an extensive worldwide poll that Skytrax carried out from August 2023 to February 2024. Passengers offered input about a range of areas of their airport encounter, including check-in protocols, immigration, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, and exit procedures.
With this triumph, Hamad Airport has now taken the top rank three times, having done so in 2021 and 2022. In the meanwhile, Changi Airport won the title of the greatest airport in the world for the 12th time in 2023.
A representative for the CAG thanked Hamad International Airport for the distinction and acknowledged the assistance it had received during the difficult COVID-19 epidemic.
“We thank our passengers and airport partners for their ongoing support,” she said in her statement. She said, “They continue to be our major source of inspiration for designing the greatest travel experiences for everyone we serve at Changi Airport.
The spokesman emphasized how crucial it is for travelers and airport partners to motivate Changi Airport to keep improving travel experiences for all guests.
