Throughout the event, allusions were made to the profound cultural and religious links that have existed between India and Cambodia for over a millennium. The efforts of collaborative working groups and a 2015 Memorandum of Understanding between India and Cambodia have established a solid basis for further tourism collaboration. Held in February 2024, the fourth joint working group meeting covered important topics such as infrastructure development, training programs for the tourism and hospitality industries, and joint venture agreements in the hotel sector.
The “Cambodia-India Tourism Year” and the new direct airline service mark the beginning of a new era of cooperation that promises increased economic development and cultural interchange for both nations.
