Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has launched Emirates World in Casablanca, Morocco, marking its largest travel retail store globally and the first of its kind in North Africa.
Spanning 534 square meters, the flagship store on Franklin Roosevelt Boulevard embodies Emirates’ refreshed retail concept, combining innovative smart technologies with personalized customer service.
A Commitment to Elevating Customer Experience
The Emirates World store was inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, and Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre, alongside His Excellency Alasri Aldhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Morocco.
The event was attended by esteemed guests, trade representatives, and media partners.
Adnan Kazim highlighted the significance of the opening: “The launch of Emirates World in Casablanca is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the customer journey, particularly across our network of 19 cities in Africa. This new retail space brings our ‘Fly Better’ promise to life, offering customers personalized services and an immersive experience that reflects the excellence of Emirates.”
Immersive Features and Personalized Services
Designed to mirror Emirates’ inflight ambiance, the store offers a modern, open-plan, lounge-like setting in a light and airy color palette. It includes nine customer service counters staffed by expert consultants who assist with travel planning, reservations, ticketing, and general inquiries.
The centerpiece of the store is a full-scale display of Emirates’ signature A380 Onboard Lounge and Premium Economy seat, giving visitors a first-hand look at the airline’s premium offerings.
Additional features include smart technologies like a ‘selfie mirror’ that lets customers snap photos against scenic backdrops of Emirates destinations, as well as self-service kiosks to streamline transactions and minimize wait times.
Strengthening Emirates’ Ties to Morocco
Emirates has been a key partner in Morocco’s aviation, tourism, and trade sectors for over 20 years, operating flights between Dubai and Casablanca since 2002. To date, the airline has transported over 3.65 million passengers on the route.
In 2022, Emirates established a codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc, offering seamless connectivity to 18 domestic destinations, including Fez, Marrakech, Agadir, Rabat, and Tangier. In the past year, over 28,600 passengers have utilized this partnership for frictionless travel.
Emirates also contributes significantly to local employment, with more than 860 Moroccan nationals serving as cabin crew, bringing Moroccan hospitality and culture to a global audience.
A Strategic Move in Africa
The Casablanca store opening comes just weeks after Emirates debuted its first Emirates World location in Africa.
This expansion aligns with the airline’s broader strategy to enhance customer engagement through immersive retail experiences that extend beyond traditional transactions.
“Emirates World enables us to connect more deeply with our customers, inspiring them to discover more with Emirates,” added Kazim.
As Emirates continues to strengthen its presence in Morocco, the launch of Emirates World Casablanca reaffirms the airline’s dedication to delivering exceptional travel experiences while fostering deeper ties with local communities.
