India has become the second most popular destination for foreign tourists visiting the US between January and May 2024, according to statistics from the US National Vacation and Tourism Office (NTTO). India has become a popular vacation destination for Americans. Compared to their third-place standing at the same time in 2023, this is a notable increase.

Taking a broad view of the first five months of 2024, India has sent 882,404 tourists to the US, up 37.2% from the same period last year. When Canada and Mexico are taken out of the rankings, this solidly puts India in second position, behind only the United Kingdom. Including these neighbors in North America, India ranks as the fourth-largest source market for foreign visitors visiting the US between January and May of 2024.
