Madhya Pradesh to Host 39th Annual IATO Conference.

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) is set to hold its 39th annual conference in Madhya Pradesh from August 30 to September 2, 2024. The event, which aims to strengthen relations between the state and IATO, is expected to be a major turning point for the tourist sector. The conference will include business sessions, a tourist mart, a marketing innovation competition, and social functions.

In October of last year, the organization and MP Tourism inked a Memorandum of Understanding to investigate the prospect of holding a conference in 2024. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, was asked to attend the event by the IATO team, which was headed by President Rajiv Mehra, Vice President Ravi Gosain, and Chairman Mahendra Pratap Singh of the IATO MP Chapter.

The 39th annual conference of the Indian Association of Tour Operators is scheduled to occur in MP’s capital city from August 30 to September 2, 2024. The Madhya Pradesh government and MP Tourism will assist the association’s annual mega-gathering. The state’s most recent Indian Association of Tour Operators Convention was held in the city of Indore in 2015.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, was asked to attend the event by the Indian Association of Tour Operators team, which was headed by President Rajiv Mehra, Vice President Ravi Gosain, and Chairman Mahendra Pratap Singh of the IATO Madhya Pradesh Chapter.

The IATO delegation was joined by Sheo Shekhar Shukla, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism & Managing Director, and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Bhopal.

According to reports, the chief minister accepted the offer and pledged the full support of MP Tourism as well as his office. To get Shukla’s approval and finalize other convention-related matters, the delegation also had a second meeting with him.

After nine years, Mehra expressed the association’s happiness to be hosting the Indian Association of Tour Operators Convention in MP.

Every year, the Indian Association of Tour Operators hosts its annual conference in a new city to encourage travel to the state by its vast membership base across India. Indian Association of Tour Operators has hosted 38 conferences in various states so far. “With the increase of 30-35 percent in foreign and domestic tourist arrivals, all those states where Indian Association of Tour Operators conventions were organized have benefited greatly, the Indian Association of Tour Operators said in a statement.

Aside from the opening function and valedictory session, the convention will include a variety of events and activities, including business sessions, a tourist mart, a marketing innovation competition, the Run for Responsible Tourist, a cultural evening, and social functions.

According to Gosain, the Indian Association of Tour Operators anticipates the involvement of around 20 state tourism administrations and 900–1,000 stakeholders from the travel and tourism sector nationwide each year.
