As of June 2024, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) announced a noteworthy 41% year-over-year increase in the Indian market, capping a fruitful first year of business in India. With estimates of attaining a 45 percent increase by the end of 2024, this excellent result establishes a good trajectory for the rest of the year.

Morocco had 7.5 million visitors worldwide in the first half of 2024, a 15% rise over the same period the year before. By the end of the year, the MNTO hopes to have brought in 15.5 million visitors, with 100,000 of those visits coming from India by 2026.

The rise has been attributed, according to the tourist board, to aggressive interaction with the Indian travel sector. Roadshows that have recently taken place in Delhi and Mumbai have been essential in fortifying ties with travel agencies and media outlets, therefore augmenting Morocco’s prominence as a top tourism destination.

One of India’s top travel trade events, OTM 2024, hosted MNTO’s premiere in February 2024.
