Nok Air launches Mumbai-Bangkok route, marking its second Indian destination.
Nok Air, Thailand’s esteemed budget carrier, recently inaugurated its first flight DD 938 from Bangkok, touching down in Mumbai at 1:05 AM. This launch introduces Mumbai as Nok Air’s second route to India, following the start of service to Hyderabad in February 2023. The first flight from Mumbai back to Bangkok took off on October 28 at 2:05 AM.
The airline has established a daily itinerary of 8 direct flights linking Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK). These flights will be serviced by the Boeing 737-800, which has a capacity for 189 passengers.
Joining passengers on the debut flight from Bangkok to Mumbai was Nok Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ranon Viputsiri. The arrival was celebrated with traditional vermillion and flowers to greet the passengers and crew warmly.
At the boarding gate, festivities marked the occasion with passengers receiving goodie bags, and the event featured a lamp-lighting ritual and cake-cutting ceremony, underscoring the importance of this new connection.
Under the banner “We Fly Smiles,” Nok Air remains dedicated to providing an exceptional travel experience at a competitive price.
