The holiday chaos escalated when the Green Grinch, in a fit of festive mischief, swiped the runway lights from North Pole International Airport. As a blizzard blanketed the area, visibility dropped to nothing, threatening to derail Christmas deliveries.
Luckily, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, with his brilliant nose lighting the way, teamed up with a group of skilled technicians at NAV CANADA to get the runway lights back up, ensuring Santa could take off on schedule.
“This could have been a Christmas-trophe!” said Santa Claus, speaking from his sleigh. “But thanks to NAV CANADA’s brilliant team and Rudolph’s reliable red nose, we’re back on schedule. I can’t thank the team working across the country over the holidays enough!”
Rudolph, who is now an honorary NAV CANADA technologist, said: “I’m always ready to give a nose in times of need. The team at NAV CANADA was so efficient. I might even consider a career in this organization, if they have carrots in the lunchroom.”
Mark Cooper, NAV CANADA’s President and CEO commented on this collaboration between the company and Santa’s team: “Our people take pride in ensuring the safety and efficiency of all air travelers, and the priority colourful packages being delivered by Santa Claus. You better watch out, Santa is coming to town!”
At the time of reporting, the Green Grunch was observed removing his shoes, which seemed uncomfortably tight. As the festive mood took hold, he was heard muttering to himself, “What I did wasn’t right, maybe Santa’s the one who’s right.”
The Chief of Police from the North Pole District, an elf known only as “Gingerbread,” stated that although the Grunch’s change of heart earned him a warm cup of cocoa, he would still face charges.
