Ras Al Khaimah achieved a tourism milestone in 2024, welcoming over one million visitors, boosting revenues, and solidifying its global travel appeal.

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has celebrated an extraordinary 2024, achieving a milestone with 1.28 million overnight visitors—setting a new record for the Emirate’s tourism sector. This landmark achievement reflects a 12% increase in tourism revenue and a remarkable 15% surge in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions attendance. These outstanding results highlight Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic vision to establish itself as a premier global tourism destination, aiming to attract over 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030.

The year’s success was fueled by significant developments, including the debut of luxurious resorts like the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort and Anantara Mina Al Arab Resort, which introduced the Emirate’s first overwater villas. Enhanced international connectivity also played a key role, as new flight routes made Ras Al Khaimah more accessible, while the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport expanded its network to major global destinations.

In addition to attracting a growing number of visitors, the Emirate hosted a series of world-class events such as the HIGHLANDER Adventure hiking challenge, the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Championship, and the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon. The year concluded with a breathtaking New Year’s Eve celebration that broke two GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for its dazzling drone and fireworks spectacle.

Ras Al Khaimah also advanced its commitment to sustainability by promoting eco-friendly initiatives and preserving its rich cultural heritage. As the Emirate looks ahead, it remains focused on sustainable growth, enhancing tourism accessibility, and delivering an unparalleled visitor experience.
