Umrah Visa

The Umrah visa in Saudi Arabia now has a three-month validity period, starting from the day it is issued. This allows individuals to visit Saudi Arabia and complete the Umrah trip. However, the Umrah visa does not grant the right to work or engage in pilgrimage-related activities. The Saudi Hajj visa is required for Hajj ceremonies, and the deadline for obtaining one is April 29.

The duration of an Umrah visa issued by Saudi Arabia is now three months from the date of issuance.

The new Umrah visa regulation states that the visa’s three-month validity period starts on the day it is issued. It will be acceptable for someone having an Umrah visa to visit the nation and complete the Umrah trip.

As the season for pilgrimages draws near, we’re also thinking about the Umrah trip. Anyone planning to go to Mecca for this reason has to get an Umrah visa. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah states that the validity of this visa is for three months (90 days) starting in the month that it is issued. What distinguishes the Umrah visa from a regular tourist visa, then? Whereas the Umrah visa only allows one visit and has a maximum 90-day validity period, the standard Saudi Arabian tourist visa enables multiple entries and is good for ninety days.

According to sources, the purpose of the latest modification to the visa policy is to facilitate the approaching Hajj season, which takes place from June 14 to 19.

According to sources, the visa’s three-month (90-day) validity term started the moment the traveler entered Saudi Arabia under the previous visa regulations. The new visa regulation states that the visa’s three-month validity period starts on the day it is issued. It will be feasible for someone having an Umrah visa to visit the nation and complete the Umrah trip.

It’s also important to remember that having an Umrah visa does not provide the bearer the right to work or engage in pilgrimage-related activities. Travelers are urged by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to abide by the new regulations on visas, not abuse them, and—above all—to depart Saudi Arabia prior to their expiration.

Are Umrah and Hajj the same?

To answer anybody who may be asking, the two are not the same. While Umrah and Hajj are both pilgrimages, Hajj has a certain season that it falls within each year. The Hajj season runs from June 14 to June 19 this year. A Muslim is believed to be required to do the Hajj at least once in their lives. Throughout the Islamic calendar, one may do the Umrah pilgrimage at any time. It’s interesting to note that, while the Hajj is excluded, travelers using the Saudi Arabia tourist e-Visa are permitted to participate in events, family visits, leisure activities, and even Umrah.

It is not possible for travelers to complete Hajj ceremonies with an Umrah visa. For that, you need a Saudi Hajj visa. The deadline for obtaining Haj 2024 visas is April 29.
