Saudi Arabia welcomes Indian tourists with a variety of tourist visa alternatives, providing simpler access to its numerous sites. Saudi Arabia invites you to discover Riyadh’s dynamic metropolis, Jeddah’s cultural richness, the hidden gems of the Red Sea, and the ancient wonders of AlUla via stopover visas, eVisa services, and visa-on-arrival. The revised criteria and visa choices appeal to a wide range of travel demands, encouraging more visitors to see the multifaceted nation.

Currently, there are ten visa facilitation facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Calicut, with plans to open more in other cities. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to capitalise on India’s potential as the number one source market by welcoming 7.5 million Indian travellers by 2030. By the end of 2024, Saudi Arabia hopes to have doubled its tourist numbers to 2.2 million.

Stopover Visa

Indian tourists may now apply for a Stopover visa, which is valid for up to 96 hours and can be purchased 90 days in advance on the Saudia airline website for a little cost for administration and insurance.

eVisa

Indians having a valid tourist or business visa from the United States, the United Kingdom, or any Schengen nation, together with stamped evidence of entry, are eligible for the eVisa. Permanent citizens of these countries, as well as persons holding a valid residency visa from a GCC nation that is valid for at least three months after their admission date into Saudi Arabia, are also eligible. The official webpage allows you to get an eVisa prior to your trip.

Visa-on-arrival

Travellers who match the same conditions as a valid tourist or business visa from the United States, United Kingdom, or Schengen nations and have entry stamps may also get a visa upon arrival at Saudi international airports. Those with permanent residence in these countries may also apply at self-service kiosks or passport control offices at Saudi airports.

Those who do not meet the above-mentioned eligibility requirements may apply for the visa at Tasheer Centres around India. The procedure consists of document preparation, appointment scheduling, application submission, biometric enrollment, and passport pickup. All of these visa alternatives are available to individuals intending to undertake Umrah.

*Stopover visas, eVisas, and Visa-on-Arrival have conditional eligibility and are not available to all passengers.
