Under the official tourism brand “Saudi Welcome to Arabia,” the campaign encourages Indian tourists to explore the compelling fusion of the nation’s contemporary marvels and old legacy.

in English versions of the “Spectacular Saudi” campaign are being distributed across India using a range of media, including internet platforms, social media, television, and online travel agents (OTAs). The objective is to fully engross Indian viewers in the captivating scenery of Saudi Arabia, including the country’s rich cultural legacy and historical sites, as well as its golden dunes and immaculate waterways.

The commercial takes viewers to some of the most famous sites in Saudi Arabia, such as the historic alleys of Al Balad in Jeddah, the magnificent Nabataean tombs in Hegra, AlUla, the pure waters of the Red Sea, and the old mud-brick architecture of Diriyah’s At-Turaif. It portrays Saudi Arabia’s hospitable culture, which strongly resembles the hospitality ingrained in Indian culture. As a result, it appeals to Indians looking for uncommon cultural encounters.

Acknowledging the increasing demand from Indian travelers for unique and genuine experiences, the Saudi Tourism Authority has partnered with 12 trade partners to provide bespoke packages designed exclusively for the Indian market. With the variety of top-notch cultural, adventurous, and gastronomic experiences these packages provide, Indians may thoroughly immerse themselves in the colorful and rich heritage of Saudi Arabia.

The campaign has garnered interest from Alhasan Aldabbagh, President of APAC Markets at the Saudi Tourism Authority. He said, “Indian travelers have long shown a deep appreciation for authentic and unique experiences.” Walk through millennia of history in famous locations like Diriyah, Al Balad, and Hegra in AlUla. We can’t wait for Indians to meet the kind Saudi people, who are an integral part of both our history and Indian culture.

He went on to say that Saudi Arabia’s tourist policy places a high priority on India, with the country ranking as the top source market by 2030. 1.6 million Indian visitors traveled to Saudi Arabia in 2023 alone, a 240% increase in leisure travel from the year before.

With eight airlines operating over 330 weekly direct flights, Saudi Arabia has made visiting the country simpler than it has ever been for Indians. When they arrive at international airports in Saudi Arabia, Indian travelers with valid visas from the US, the UK, or any other Schengen countries may apply for an eVisa or pick one up at the airport.

In addition, visitors may apply for a free Stopover visa via Saudia Airline and Flynas, which is good for a 96-hour stay that is both quick and enlightening.
