Beginning on Christmas Eve, Singapore Airlines is elevating the travel experience for business-class passengers with the introduction of exclusive amenity kits from the iconic fragrance house Le Labo.

Each kit features a trio of essentials: a basil-scented hand pomade, a refreshing face mist infused with basil, and a nourishing lip balm. Reflecting Le Labo’s commitment to quality and sustainability, the products are carefully crafted using vegan ingredients such as shea butter, sweet almond oil, olive oil, aloe vera, and rosemary extract.

Artistry and Eco-Consciousness
Le Labo, translating to “The Lab” in French, has garnered a loyal following for its meticulous, handcrafted approach to fragrance creation and its sleek, understated design. Known for its unique in-store blending process, the brand customizes each scent to the buyer, including a personalized label that features the customer’s name, purchase date, and location.

Although personalization isn’t feasible for air travelers, Singapore Airlines pays homage to Le Labo’s artistry with the design of the amenity kit pouch. Crafted from waxed cotton canvas, the pouch draws inspiration from the lab aprons used by Le Labo Fragrances.

The airline envisions passengers reusing the pouches, perhaps as holders for travel documents. Over time, the canvas will age gracefully, developing “distinctive textures and colors,” transforming into a cherished keepsake, according to Singapore Airlines.

Le Labo’s focus on craftsmanship and bespoke creations aligns seamlessly with the airline’s values. Singapore Airlines, previously hesitant to introduce amenity kits due to concerns about waste, sees this collaboration as a thoughtful solution. It’s a fitting partnership, given that many kits often remain unused and abandoned on flights.

Previously, Singapore Airlines opted to offer premium passengers essentials like slippers, socks, and sleep masks, while equipping lavatories with items typically found in amenity kits, such as dental kits, combs, and earplugs.

In 2020, the airline introduced amenity kits for the first time, though with a minimalist approach. The earlier business-class kits included a curated selection of three products from the renowned British fragrance brand, Penhaligon’s.

Ways for Travelers to Enjoy the New Kits

The new Le Labo kits are provided upon request rather than being placed in every seatback pocket. Each kit includes just three essential products, while additional amenities remain available in the lavatories for those who need them.

Business-class passengers on Singapore Airlines can request the amenity kits on flights lasting more than six hours, including all routes to Europe and the United States.

First-class kits remain the same, showcasing products from the French luxury brand Lalique, presented in elegant vegan leather pouches.
