Recent developments indicate that the Thai government is launching programs to attract a broader spectrum of visitors and residents, including tourists, postgraduate students, distant workers, and retirees.
The purpose of this project is to extend visa stay terms. Starting in June, travelers from up to 93 countries will be able to remain in Thailand for up to 60 days. This is a major increase from the current list of 57 countries eligible for this prolonged stay, according to government spokesman Chai Wacharonke.
Furthermore, the government is tripling the stay restriction for on-arrival visas, from 30 to 60 days. This measure is expected to promote speedier entrance procedures for a larger number of guests, simplifying travel plans and improving the overall tourism experience.

Also, as previously reported, Thailand originally provided visa-free entrance until May 10, 2024, which has recently been extended. According to sources, Indian passport holders may now travel visa-free for another six months, till November 10, 2024. This extension allows for a luxurious 30-day stay, double the prior allowed.
