The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), World Athletics, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and Thailand Tri-League, hosted a press event to officially unveil the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2024, sponsored by TOYOTA.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), World Athletics, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and Thailand Tri-League, hosted a press briefing to reveal the upcoming Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2024, presented by TOYOTA.
Marking its 7th edition, the marathon is scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2:00 am to 9:30 am, with participants from 77 nations joining the event.
Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong led the announcement, accompanied by prominent officials including the TAT Governor, Bangkok’s Governor, and the Kenyan Ambassador to Thailand. The event spotlighted a special announcement: two-time Olympic gold medalist Eliud Kipchoge and the renowned NN Running Team were named official “Tourism and Sports Ambassadors” for the marathon.
Minister Sorawong highlighted the Thai government’s dedication to fostering top-tier events under the IGNITE THAILAND initiative, a program designed to boost Thailand’s economic growth by hosting major international gatherings. As a premier event in the realm of sports tourism, the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok serves as a centerpiece of this ambitious initiative.
