Air India's newly entered A320neo aircraft now feature a revolutionary three-class configuration aimed at improving traveler experience on both short-haul domestic and international routes.
The redesigned A320neo offers passengers more options and better comfort in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.
Domestic Premium Economy Launch ✈️
Air India will begin offering Premium Economy on some domestic flights starting July 1.
The A320neo aircraft has 8 seats in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy, and 132 in Economy.
Business Class seats include adjustable footrests, backrests, and armrests, a 40-inch pitch, a 7-inch recline, PED holders, several charging connections, and adjustable tray tables.
Premium Economy Features ✈️
Premium Economy seats come with four-way headrests, a 32-inch pitch, a 4-inch recline, additional legroom, excellent upholstery, PED holders, USB charging points, and enhanced meal service on fine china and silverware.
Economy Class Features✈️
Economy Class seats offer an ergonomic design, coat hooks, USB charging connections, PED holders, tray tables, and a 4-inch recline.
Fleet Upgrade Strategy ✈️
Air India plans to implement the three-class arrangement across all its full-service narrowbody aircraft over the next year, with new aircraft coming with the new design and existing aircraft being retrofitted gradually.
CEO Campbell Wilson emphasized that the three-class cabin addition and interior renovations are key steps in improving the flying experience and modernizing Air India's offerings.
Collins Aerospace designed the seats in all three cabins with special ergonomic contouring and a trademarked comfort system, featuring coat hooks, tray tables, charging outlets, and book pockets.
