Valley of Flowers Trek Begins June 1 in Uttarakhand

Launched on June 1, 2024, the Valley of Flowers trek in Uttarakhand is set to launch.

The trek, part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.

The three-day, 17-kilometer journey is accessible from Govindghat or Pulna village.

During the monsoon season, over 300 native Himalayan flower varieties are visible.

Visitors can also witness a variety of flowers, including anemones, geraniums, blue poppies, and bluebells.

The valley is home to over 600 types of exotic flowers, cascading waterfalls, and wild streams.

The valley is also home to a variety of wildlife, including the snow leopard, lime butterfly, black bear, red fox, and Himalayan monal.
